End grain cutting board. The body of the board is made with Hard Sugar Maple surround with a beautiful border of Black Walnut. Available in multiple sizes. With proper care and maintenance these boards can last generations. End grain cutting boards are widely considered the best and most durable kind of cutting board. When cutting on end grain, the knife cuts parallel and between the wood grains, pushing it to the side. This allows the grain to squeeze back together or “self-heal” so to speak. This is also much gentler on your knife blade than an edge grain, glass, or plastic board. All of our boards come with non-slip silicone feet that are attached with stainless steel screws and in-cut hand holds. Listed dimensions are rough estimates.
