John Boos MYS32 Mystery Butcher Block Oil

The John Boos Mystery Oil is recommended for care of tops and blocks that are used as a working, cutting surface. This fine oil is a mixture of white mineral oil and beeswax, and will give your john boos product the same quality finish as the factory. It is recommended to oil the tops or blocks every 4-6 weeks. This food-safe oil finish keeps your blocks looking new.

Seals and Moisturizes

Apply a coat of John Boos Mystery Oil over the entire surface of your cutting board. Using a paper towel or clean cloth, spread the oil evenly over the board surface- don’t forget the sides! Allow the oil to absorb, then wipe off the excess.

Mystery oil is easily absorbed and penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood’s surface to help protect and revitalize the fibers against drying, bleaching and cracking.

The Boos Board Cream is an all-natural formula that penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaves a silky barrier and locks moisture in. When used regularly, Boos Block Board Cream will replenish the moisture lost from repeated washings, keeping your butcher blocks, cutting boards, and utensils from drying, bleaching and cracking.

Board cream is best used as the second step after a quick coating of John Boos Mystery Oil (sold separately). John Boos Board cream is a thick and silky cream made from unbleached beeswax and food grade mineral oil. It will lock in moisture and leave a smooth barrier against future washings.
